Went back for Mother's Day this year. We had a great time. There were a number of Mother's Day special events: spa facials and hand massages, card creation station, and special Mother's day baskets (these had to be ordered ahead of time). There was even a yoga class for the whole family - I think the kids enjoyed this the most. The lone restaurant is managed by Wolfgang Puck's company. The chicken fingers and lemonade were delicious. The burger was ok. A fun time had by all.

One of the top mexican restaurants in Manhattan Beach. It has a great decor, good food and amazing margaritas!

The decor is very green, with trees and plants all around. Around Christmas time, they have a santa clause area, that kids have fun around.

They have valet parking, but you can find parking on the streets too.

Dale Page park is a small park in North Redondo with a set of swings, playstructure, basketball court and an open court to practice racket ball / tennis strokes.

We often go here as it's the closest place where our son can enjoy swings!!

Uncle Bill's is THE place in Manhattan Beach to go for breakfast. There is always waiting here, so if u are going there, take that into account.

I especially love their Manhattan Omelette and frshly squeezed orange juice!

You'll always find lots of kids here as Manhattan Beach is a very kid friendly area ... it's just fun to have breakfast on Sunday mornings and then go to the Strand for a walk.

Took the kids here for a late breakfast on Sunday morning. The place was packed. Awesome hawaiian bread french toast - delicious! The kids couldn't get enough. Good food - large portions. They also have a bakery in the restaurant with all kinds of sweet Hawaiian bread, muffins, cakes, pies, and doughnuts.

The Garlic Chicken is awesome here. The Cuban Pork is also very good. The entrees come with a huge serving of rice and black beans and fried plantains. Delicious! My kids love the rice and the black beans. The chicken and pork are pretty strong so they don't like that as much.

It's a shopping place, got some good food and has a small green area where kids enjoy!

We were here last weekend and there was an Easter bunny setup for kids to have photographs with. Kids were having great fun!!

The place has a small train that goes across the street and is free!!! For food, you can choose between dine in restaurants or can checkout farmers market a few steps away!!

Right next to the San Diego Zoo is this miniature railroad. It's one of the attractions in the Balboa Park for kids. Overall the Balboa park is full of museums but this place is a cute attraction.

We parked in one of the parking lots and then took the free trams to the promenade and walked to this miniature railroad place. It's around a 0.5 mile walk to this place but you don't feel like as there are so many people around (we went on a Sunday).

The railroad costs $2 per person for adults and children under 1 are free.

I am a fan of this place! 3rd street promenade is an amazing pedestrian only street that has shops and restaurants on both sides. There are times, when you'll find some really good street performers there.

During spring and summers this place is crowded with people. Both kids and adults can enjoy this place. Kids love to watch the street performers perform.

On the parking side, Santa Monica does not have a shortage of it, so after 6pm, you can find $3 flat rate parking.

Overall a great experience!
